My mother’s recipe. My family’s legacy. A Chicago bakery built with love.
Lady Di’s Bakery was founded in 1998 by my mother, Diane Devroe — affectionately known as Lady Di. What started as a mother refusing to settle for store-bought cakes became a Chicago bakery brand rooted in family, sacrifice, faith, and unforgettable flavor.
Today, Lady Di’s Bakery is known for its iconic butter cookies, peanut butter cookies, cakes, vegan butter cookies, wholesale opportunities, retail growth, Walmart Local presence, and nationwide shipping.
This is not just a bakery. This is my mother’s dream and my family’s story.
Lady Di turned love, skill, and sacrifice into a brand.
My mother, Diane Devroe, started baking because she wanted better for her family. She was not satisfied with store-bought cakes, so she began making her own. What started as love in the kitchen quickly became something people around her wanted to experience.
Before Lady Di’s Bakery became the brand people know today, my mother opened a gourmet popcorn shop. Her cakes became so popular that neighboring business owners started requesting them. That demand gave her the confidence to invest her savings and open Lady Di’s Bakery.
She opened the bakery with just $2.40 to her name. That is why this brand means more to me than products on a shelf. This is sacrifice. This is faith. This is family legacy.
The treats that built the brand.
Lady Di’s Bakery started with cakes, expanded into dozens of products, and became especially known for cookies that remind people of Chicago lunchrooms, family gatherings, neighborhood stores, and sweet memories.
Butter Cookies
The lunchroom-style butter cookie is one of the most recognizable products connected to Lady Di’s Bakery. It is nostalgic, simple, memorable, and built for retail, wholesale, and shipping.
Peanut Butter Cookies
A customer favorite that carries the same nostalgic feel as the original cookie line while expanding the flavor profile of the brand.
Vegan Butter Cookies
A newer product created to reach vegan customers and expand the bakery into a broader consumer market without losing the heart of the original brand.
Cakes
Cakes were the beginning of the story. Lady Di’s Bakery grew because people loved the cakes and kept asking for more.
Packaged Goods
The bakery’s cookie line is built for convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, distributors, and retail shelves.
Shipping & Online Orders
Customers outside Chicago can still experience Lady Di’s Bakery through online ordering, shipping, and packaged product availability.
From neighborhood favorite to retail-ready bakery brand.
Lady Di’s Bakery has the story, product, shelf life, customer demand, and emotional connection needed to grow beyond a local bakery into a recognized packaged goods brand.
Helping my mother’s brand grow is personal.
As her son, I do not look at Lady Di’s Bakery as just another business. I see the years of sacrifice, the late nights, the creativity, the courage, and the faith it took for my mother to build something from almost nothing.
My role is to help protect the story, strengthen the brand, expand the product line, improve the digital presence, support wholesale conversations, and help position Lady Di’s Bakery for the next level of growth.

Lil Tone says: “This ain’t just dessert. This is my mama’s sacrifice, Chicago flavor, family legacy, and a recipe that deserves to be on shelves everywhere.”
